Blessing of the Backpacks – This Sunday (September 17), we are holding a blessing of the Backpacks, Briefcases, and Blackberries – as we continue to move into a new year, we would invite our school-going worshippers to bring their backpack for a blessing during worship. Our working worshippers are invited to bring their briefcase or their blackberry (or whatever brand of portable technological device they carry) with them as well as a sign that what we do on Sunday mornings and what we do the rest of the week might come into conversation.
